Nora Kontostergiou
Nora Kontostergiou was born in Athens, grew up in Thiseio, and attended the 25th Gymnasium-Lyceum of Plaka. After finishing high school, she experimented with visual arts and theater before being drawn to the science of psychology, a field that provided answers to her questions through the writings of Freud, Fromm, Nietzsche, Hesse, and Sartre.
She pursued her passion for psychology by earning a degree at the American College of Greece (Deree) in 1996, where she received a full scholarship for all four years. Nora further advanced her expertise in England at the University of Kent, specializing in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy over a seven-year period. During this time, she underwent personal psychoanalysis and worked at the pioneering NHS Mount Zeehan Unit, gaining invaluable clinical experience as both a clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
Upon returning to Greece in 2004, Nora worked at the Institute of Mental Health's Adult Department under P. Sakellaropoulos while establishing her private practice. Since 2011, she has continuously enriched her education and personal growth by attending seminars, participating in self-awareness groups, and engaging in individual and group therapy through visual arts at the CAP center under N. Anagnostopoulou. The call of visual arts remains integral to her identity, evolving alongside her contributions to psychotherapy and her work as an independent artist.
Harikleia Papapostolou
Harikleia Papapostolou is a mixed-media artist based between Athens and London. Her practice spans painting, textiles, sculpture, and large-scale installations, often engaging with cycles of trauma, healing, and renewal. Central to her work is the symbol of the womb, often represented as a spiral, which she uses as a metaphor for creation, protection, and transformation. Drawing from metaphysics, philosophy, and feminist theory, she explores how material and form can embody spiritual and collective experiences. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at the University for the Creative Arts, focusing on 'The Divinity and Sanctity of the Female through the Practice of Fine Art and Textile-Based Healing.' She also holds an MA in Textiles from the Royal College of Art, an MA in Fine Art from the University of the Arts London (Chelsea College), and a BFA in Visual and Applied Arts from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Personal Structures: Time, Space, Existence at the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017, Late at Tate: Constructing Landscapes/Building Worlds at Tate Britain in 2020, Healing at Cookhouse Gallery London in 2020, Symbiosis at the XV Biennale de la Méditerranée Thessaloniki in 2011, and most recently at MOMus Athens in 2023.
